Publishing Rights for Artwork by Steve Upham

If you see any images in the gallery section that you would like to use in your projects, please get in touch about purchasing publishing rights. The license fee allows you to publish the requested image(s) for ONE project only. You are granted non-exclusive rights and the license does not give you any Copyright over the original artwork. To make this as simple as possible, here is a standard price list...

Book & Magazine Covers

For small press (print runs of under 1000 copies), there is a one-off payment of £50 for the use of any existing single image from the gallery sections for cover art. For interior illustrations there is a one-off payment of £25. For eBook covers the payment is £25 or you can negotiate a royalty-based free. Please note that these prices are only for providing EXISTING images and does not include title overlays or other design work. If you need a NEW piece of artwork commissioned for a cover then the fee will of course be higher.

Other Uses

If you need artwork for any other purpose then please get in touch for a quote.

Charity & Non-Profit

I am more than happy to supply existing artwork images for FREE, but only if for use by charity organizations or for specific non-profit purposes (free eZines, for example). Please do not request free use of artwork in your commercial projects, thank you!

New Commissions

If you need a specific type of image for a book cover (or any other project) then please get in touch about commissioning a new piece of artwork. Just to give you an example, the most basic type of book cover usually starts at around £100. Of course, the price will depend on the complexity of the project and how long it will take me to produce. But don't be afraid to ask as I am very easy to work with and can accommodate any budget, high or low.

All artwork can be supplied in ready-to-print digital format. Images can be saved in PSD, TIFF, EPS, JPEG or any other preferred format. CMYK is used for print work and RGB for on-screen. Bleed area can be included for cropping and other requirements taken into consideration. Title overlays can also be added if required, for an extra fee. If you need any advice then please ask and I’ll do my best to help in any way I can. Files can be sent online or posted on CD-ROM/DVD disc.

Please use the contact form on this page to get in touch with your artwork requests, thank you.
