(new releases and titles in progress)

September 2010 : The Empathy Effect by Bob Lock has arrived from the printers! I will get the online ordering for this title up and running soon. A local launch date is yet to be announced. Signed copies will also be available at FantasyCon.

August 2010
: Lake Mountain by Steve Gerlach is slightly behind schedule, but fear not as it will be at the printers in due course. The first chapter can now be downloaded from the book page, so check it out while you are waiting!

June 2010
: The second print run of Songs from Spider Street is now in stock!

May 2010
: Songs from Spider Street by Mark Howard Jones was launched at the Oriel Canfas Gallery in Cardiff and the book is now available to purchase online. Be quick though as stock is running out fast! A limited amount of signed copies are still available. You can also see a few pics of the launch here.

March 2010
: The latest 3 SD titles are now available to order online! If you are into supernatural thrillers then you may be interested in The Gemini Factor by Paul Kane. Continuing on the supernatural theme, but with a more humourous approach, is the PPC hardback edition of John L. Probert's Against the Darkness collection of short stories. Or if you fancy the latest novella from Tony Richards, then be sure take a look at Yuppieville.

February 2010
: I'm pleased to announce that SD will be publishing all of Steve Gerlach's novels, over the coming 2-3 years. The new paperback editions will make these hard-to-get titles available once again for fans of Steve's work. The first title in The Gerlach Collection will be Lake Mountain, to be launched at FantasyCon 2010. This will be followed by The Nocturne in early 2011, if all goes to plan. Keep watching for more details to be announced.

September 2009
: The big news is that Allyson Bird's Bull Running for Girls book has won the British Fantasy Award for Best Collection. Ally and I would like to express our gratitude for everyone's support with the title over the past year. It really does mean a lot to us both! You can watch the award being announced here if you wish.

May 2009 : The first SD hardback is now available! I am proud to add this new title to the lineup. Those of you who enjoy David A. Sutton's work shouldn't miss the opportunity to order a copy of his debut collection, Clinically Dead. This book was originally released by Crowswing in 2006, but disappeared shortly afterwards, so Screaming Dreams grabbed the publishing rights and decided to re-issue it this year!

Note To Authors : My book publishing schedule is now full until at least 2013 so I am currently not able to take on any further titles at the moment. Thank you for all your stories so far and I look forward to reading more of them when I open for submissions again at a later date.

I am however still open to submissions for the eZine and eBook sections, if you want to get some free exposure for your work in the meantime.

(eZine, eBooks and more)

FantasyCon 2010 : Don't forget to come and say hello if you are attending this event. SD will have a table in the dealer's room, selling the latest titles including The Empathy Effect, Songs from Spider Street, Against the Darkness, Yuppieville and The Gemini Factor. Discount prices for the weekend only, so grab yourself some bargains! Also come and see my work in the artshow and try to part with some more of your hard-earned cash!

Estronomicon : For those of you who may be wondering why there haven't been any issues of the eZine this year, then don't worry, it will return soon! It's just that I've been so busy catching up with the backlog of work with the print titles that I simply haven't had chance to concentrate on the eZine too. But keep watching for the next issue soon.

Barry J. House
: I am sad to report that one of the SD authors, Barry J. House, passed away on Saturday 26th June 2010. Barry had been going through some serious health issues lately but none of us expected him to be taken from us so soon. He will be missed.

Horror Gallery : Just updated the artwork in the Horror section, to add a dozen more pieces that have been lurking on my hard drive for a while. I still have quite a lot of work to do before all the artwork galleries are fully upto date though, so please bear with me.

AlphaPad
: A quick and easy (and FREE!) notepad utility to help you save lists of text in alphabetical order. Find out more info and download it from the Software page.

The Dead of Night Awards
: The votes have now been counted and I am pleased to announce the winning names. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.

Best Author : James Bennett
Best Artist : Anne Stokes

World Horror Convention
: Just returned from an excellent few days in Brighton! The event was a lot of fun and needless to say I really enjoyed it from start to finish. I'll put together a report of the convention in one of the next eZine issues, so you can read all about it then. In the meantime you can view some photos from the event here.

Oh, my apologies to anyone who e-mailed me or ordered books while I was away. I will be catching up with all that in the next few days, so sorry for any delay.

Get in Touch
: As usual all feedback, comments, ideas and suggestions are welcome so please feel free to contact me anytime if you have something to say. Cheers.
