Even the Dead Die
The Afterlife is now…
During his usual morning tube ride through London, office worker Mike Angelo catches sight of the man who raped his sister – a man who has been dead for years. Then he meets Sheena, a ghostly tattoo artist, who introduces him to a world he never even knew existed: a bustling underworld of phantoms, where nothing, not even death, can be taken for granted.
This is just the beginning of a journey into the darkest corners of the capital in search of his sister’s ghost. And along the way, Mike will meet the illegal ghostgirls, rub shoulders with spectral hoodlums, encounter the mythical Desolation Angels, and learn of The Big Black – the place where even the dead go to die.
In the Skin
You know when you've been on a long trip and upon your return you experience the disorientating feeling that your loved ones look slightly different?
Nothing that you can put your finger on: they just look changed. Altered. The effect doesn't last long, just an hour or two; then things return to normal and you forget all about it as you get on with your life.
Well, what if that feeling didn't go away? And what if you found strange markings carved into the door frame of your house, the skinned and beakless body of a bird on your doorstep, and your young son began to act in a way that made you think he'd been taken over?
What if you thought someone else was in your son's skin, controlling him, wearing him like a suit? And what if you thought he was trying to kill you?
