Extract from Teachers Are Evil :

Nine-year-old boys may have many reasons for wanting to burn down their schools. Rory only needed one, and its name was Mr. Hopkiss.

He stood beside the fence at the rear of Llan Hafoc Primary School, rattling a stick against the wire links and trying to look like an ordinary kid idling away a warm Saturday morning. His bike lay hidden in a drainage ditch nearby, and the only witnesses to his arrival had been the seagulls circling high overhead.

Once he was certain that no one was watching, Rory tossed the stick away, shouldered his bag and clambered over the fence. He landed heavily in the long grass on the other side and walked quickly across the sports field with the indignities that he had suffered in Mr. Hopkiss' class wedged firmly at the forefront of his mind.
